James Dodds (b. 1957)

James Dodds (1957 – ) was born in the east coast fishing town of Brightlingsea, and trained as a shipwright in Maldon.

He then went on to study painting at Chelsea College of art and the Royal College of Art, London. James is also a printmaker and has illustrated and hand-produced a series of artists books.

Most of his work focuses on boats and the sea.
